Ategi recieves generous donation at festive get together
Last week, Ategi hosted the England festive get togethers in South Gloucestershire and Buckinghamshire. These events were organised for Shared Lives carers and the people we support, as well as Ategi staff.
The festive get togethers in England and Wales were a chance to catch up and meet new people, and share what Ategi has been up to this year. Kate Allen, Ategi CEO, delivered a talk about the new three-year strategy report; Richard Cox, Head of Quality & Compliance, showcased some of the great results from a recent survey; Head of Business Development, Alice Peycke, mapped out Ategi's plans to roll out a co-production strategy and finally, Rebecca Belaidi, Head of Operations, provided updates on Ategi services.
These events were extra special because it was the first time that Ategi put on a fundraising raffle. There were raffles at all three events, with items donated by local businesses and members of staff. Items donated included a £40 voucher for an Elmis deep tissue massage, each event had a hamper up for grabs - one donated by Morrisons (won by Liz, pictured below), vouchers for meals out, bottles of bubbly as well as lots of other prizes. Ticket sales raised a total of £305 to go towards Ategi's Wellbeing Fund!
For the South Glos team, the festive get together was also a moving in party, as they celebrated moving into the Vassal Centre. Other organisations from the centre came along to the event to learn about what we do at Ategi.
The Buckinghamshire event had an exciting announcement at their event, Nuala, a representative from John Lewis & Waitrose, made a generous donation of £2,500 to Ategi and presented Andrew Tucker and Nikki Mills a giant cheque! Nikki, Shared Lives Coordinator did an amazing job building that relationship with John Lewis & Waitrose for Ategi that lead to their fantastic donation.
Take a look at our other photos from the event on the Ategi people page!
"It was fantastic to host a festive get together for all of our Shared Lives carers, the people we support and their family members. Everyone really enjoyed seeing each other and catching up"
