Celebrating 1 year of Shared Lives in Central Bedfordshire

On 2nd October 2023, we took over the Central Bedfordshire Shared Lives contract, and what a year it's been! With the incredible efforts of Nikki, our dedicated Shared Lives Coordinator for the area, we've made great strides in establishing strong connections with carers, the people we support, and local Social Care Teams.

From hosting presentations and attending community events to meeting with schools and day centres, we've been busy spreading the word about Shared Lives across Central Bedfordshire. The Buckinghamshire team have done an amazing job, ensuring a smooth transition and successful expansion in the area.

We’re also thrilled to welcome Charlie to the Central Bedfordshire team! Charlie has expanded her role and is now both a Shared Lives Coordinator and Engagement Officer. She’s already hit the ground running, building relationships and making a big impact.

But that's not all! We're excited to introduce two incredible people we support as our new Shared Lives Champions. They’ll be joining us in spreading the word and advocating for Shared Lives within the community.

Looking ahead, we can't wait to continue growing our presence in Central Bedfordshire and providing even greater support to those who need it. A huge thank you to everyone who has contributed so far!
